I have noticed that several mobile flash box fail when reviving a soft or a hard bricked devices. This devices mostly are using Mediatek processors (not tried Qualcom) but according to the box design, it may exhibit the same error.
The explanation to this is the flash boxes, e.g Volcano Box has little ability to read and provide enough information about the smartphones processor capabilities and kernel requirements. This makes it unusable since it doesn't follow the recommended algorithm to re-program this Processors (System on a chip).
The solution to such cases is actually a step by step procedure of identifying the mobile device processor and get its ROM (either stock or custom). And then do usb node to computer restore using the right system drivers.
NB.
Device processor make is specified in its specification. e.g MTK6583......
